Home Learning During School Closure

Please note that we recognise doing large amounts of home learning can be a challenge, especially when you are trying to work at home and look after several children. There is no expectation for you to cover all of the work set. Please do what you deem as being appropriate for your child

A message from your teacher:

Hello seahorses!

This week past we have been very busy in class. We have been working on our adjectives and nouns and how to choose describing words that are appropriate. We have had a few chances to go outside in between rain clouds and took advantage when we could.

After many delays and issues, our meetings will be going forward this week with our first one today! Our second meeting will be on Wednesday with the class split in two. I hope you are able to join us for some activities and a chat before you have your summer holidays.

If I do not see you on one of the two chats, I want to say how much I have enjoyed teaching the seahorses this year and how excited I am to see how amazing you do in Dolphins next year.

Enjoy your summer, and I will see you in September,

Mr. D

Learning for the Week Beginning 13th July:

Literacy and Maths

We will now be updating the learning and activities each day on our school website. Here are the resources and guidance for this week's Literacy and Maths lessons which are also being taught in class. A PING message was sent out on Wednesday 10th June to explain how to upload work onto our new learning platform: CLASS DOJO. As this is a new program, just try and upload one piece of learning, of your choice, onto CLASS DOJO this week. Just to clarify, we will put the home-learning on our class page each day and you can upload the activities when you have completed them onto CLASS DOJO.

If you do not have access to a printer, you can either complete the word documents on a laptop/tablet and then upload them onto CLASS DOJO. You can also record the answers on a piece of paper or in your home-learning book, take a photo and upload it. You can also write a message to your teacher using the journal on CLASS DOJO just to explain what you have been doing if you are unable to print any of the activities.

I must say thank you to all of those children who have already uploaded their learning onto Class Dojo; it has been an absolute pleasure reading and looking at it all. Keep sending it in everyone, and most importantly, keep enjoying it!
